Sobriety, Healing, Recovery

Coach Marilyn Mutsune

Are you fresh out of rehab and wondering what next? You’re a myriad of emotions and your feelings reel up and down like a yo-yo. One minute you are perfectly calm and the next, you fear that you could be possessed and about to enter the gates of hell. Maybe you are somewhere in the middle, bombarded with bouts of anxiety that leave you in a cold sweat.  It is part of addiction recovery and it can be overwhelming.

I get it.

But here is the good news. You are perfectly normal. All of these things happen, and it’s part of your “new” journey. Also, it is good that you experience these emotions. They might be unpleasant and uncomfortable, but it shows that you’re alive. So don’t fret.

Sobriety is attainable and achievable. And life can be enjoyable and manageable even in sobriety. Sobriety is not limited to putting down the bottle, needle, pill, or porn. Whatever your preferred substance or activity is, there is an escape route. Stay in the present that’s your best win.

That’s why I’m here.

How May I Help You?

I can offer a range of advice and counselling services and self-help online workshops. These will ease your journey to sobriety, healing, and recovery. I help people of all ages and gender.

Self-care

You are the most important person in your addiction recovery.
Your self-care plan helps you enjoy a sober, fulfilled, and serene life.

Relationships

During active addiction, the disease takes a toll on your relationships: spouse, siblings, parents, friends, and peers. After an increase in awareness of your relationship patterns, you are likely to find it helpful to develop healthy relationships skills.

Community

Your sobriety is your responsibility. However, your community has health and safety measures in place.
These tools help you transition back into society as a healthy and productive member.

Work With Me

What are the obstacles to your recovery?

It’s my goal to help you identify these challenges.  As you and I journey together, we will find opportunities for your long-term sobriety. But here’s the thing. You’re the one that determines the success of your addiction recovery. You need to stop comparing your addiction recovery journey with others.

We will use evidence-based procedures and scientific methods.  But they only serve as guides. I need you to understand that you’re unique, and so is your journey. I’m here to share my strength, optimism and experience with you. I will help you connect with your inner self. We’ll find your creativity, resilience and establish your sense of wellbeing.

All I ask for is your willingness to cooperate.

It means it’s important that you stop using especially if you’re fresh out of rehabilitation or at a certain stage in your addiction recovery walk. If you want, I will offer to walk with you and your family. We will find the appropriate resources to initiate and maintain your addiction recovery.

Here are a few examples:

  • Alcoholic addiction recovery
  • Pornography addiction recovery
  • Drug addiction recovery
  • Sex addiction recovery
  • Food addiction recovery

If you’re in treatment, I will offer to support you and your family as you enter the recovery process. I’ll also journey with you in post-treatment to maintain your sobriety and direct you to the appropriate resources and support systems.
